who do we sponsor & why?

As you can see from the landing page, we like to help, but we love getting involved. That’s me and some of my family summitting Ben Nevis in aid of Crohn’s & Colitis UK, a charity close to my son’s heart. So, rather than just donating, we donned our QMR neck buffs and joined the climb!

Support and sponsorship is so much more than just throwing money into the funding needed for something to work. Getting involved and offering the support and commitment needed to help an ‘idea’ develop and grow is incredibly important. That’s what we are all about, it’s what makes us tick.

Grassroots to Grand Prix

We aim to give the most complete guide to Grassroots racing, so you can follow riders from Minimotos all the way to the Grand Prix paddock. Young riders starting out their careers will receive a much wider coverage, with our social media having a reach of over 500,000 impressions per month.

Part of our aim is to raise money to support riders in Minimotos and Minibikes in the UK. The two main Championships are Fab Racing and the British Minibikes Championships. The first ever Fab Racing Champion was Scott Redding. The likes of Bradley Ray, Kyle Ryde, Scott Ogden, Joshua Whatley, Casey O’Gorman and many more have started their careers here, so clearly they are doing something right. However, more help and funding is needed to keep pushing hard and ensure the routes to Grand Prix racing are open as widely as possible.

Funding at this level is difficult, so our raffles of merchandise and memorabilia help to distribute money to these riders. 100% of all funds raised goes straight to the young riders in these paddocks and we’ve already raised over £2,300 in under 12 months from a standing start.

British Mini Bikes

British Mini Bikes has grown into Britain’s biggest and best championship for racing all forms of Mini bikes on tarmac surfaces. Boasting over 200 registered riders. In two years we have gone from an average of 65 entries per meeting to over 200! The series is run by riders for riders and the organisers believe the riders themselves should have a big say in how their championship should be run. Riders input is not only welcomed but positively invited.

FAB racing

Since 2004 when FAB-Racing was formed it has been organising race events to give the opportunity to young riders to have an insight into and to experience motorcycle circuit racing at grass roots level.  This was initially in conjunction with the Minimoto Racing Association, the organiser of the Minimoto British Championships, but by 2009 the MMRA had handed the running of all the British Championship classes, Minimoto, MiniGP, etc over to FAB-Racing.

Arran Hands Racing

I'm a 39 year old motorcycle racer that lives in North Wales. I've been involved in motorsport nearly all of my life, mainly as a kid with a dream of becoming a Formula One driver. That changed when in 2007 I went the Isle Of Man TT and with my eyes and mouth wide open, watched as I witnessed the most incredible spectacle I had ever seen! As soon as the first bike came past I knew I wanted to have a go! 

Road Racing, and specifically The IOM TT, is an itch that just needs scratching and sadly, after losing my dad to cancer in 2022, I’ve started to scratch. Life is too short to give up on dreams and I am passionate not only about short circuit racing, but I want to compete in the big Road Racing events, something that kind of took a bit of a back burner when family life and kids come along. I still had the passion for racing but the road racing scene sort of dwindled away a bit.

2023 got me on a new bike, a Honda CBR 600RR. Fast forward to August and the 2023 Manx GP. I wasn’t racing, but watching friends race and fly off from the start line ignited something that only a racer can understand. That’s all that has occupied my mind since then so the Manx GP and ultimately, the IOM TT are my goals from 2025 onwards.

 

In 2017 I started racing bikes having only done a few track days and I was hooked. April 2017 was my first race at Oulton Park with my dad and my family watching. An old Ford Transit Connect, a trailer and a set of tyre warmers were all we had and it was the best thing I'd ever done. 

In 2024 I'll be making my road racing debut at Olivers Mount and the Southern 100 on the Isle Of Man. I need these on the CV to help forward my application to race the Manx GP in 2025. After that, the story will continue…..

 

Kingdom offroad Motorcycle club

We are a Scottish charity, founded in 2003. We aim to make off road motorcycling more accessible, whilst reducing illegal and anti-social motorcycling within our communities.

Kingdom Off Road Motorcycle Club has a few locations, our motocross track is situated at Kirkness, Sout East of the Scottish Gliding Centre. We have a workshop in Glenrothes and a trials area we use near Strathkinness.

The motocross track is hardpacked with some sandy surfaces, if has a few jumps and is aimed at beginners and novice riders primarily, however it has some great corner practice and a few high-speed areas for more advanced riders. It is also well suited to older bikes eg. Twinshocks etc. We welcome pit-bike/mini-bike riders of all ages, they can use either the main track or the small track.

The trials areas area we use, has something for all abilities, we also have limited capacity for trials riding at our Kirkness track. However, most Trials practice and coaching takes place near Strathkinness. We help and support kids and young people into competitive, off-road motorcycle sport.

Our large workshop in Glenrothes is used to deliver youth work programmes and employability training. Also, members, parents and their children use the workshop to fix and maintain their motorcycles, often with help and support from our staff and volunteers.

 

Coaching is hugely important to young people, especially those who show real aptitude for this sport. We offer a range of bikes and equipment for hire at competitive rates to enable everyone and anyone to give it a go.
