The tour

A motorcycle trip to remember whilst taking in some spectacular World Superbike Racing at The Nevers Circuit, Magny Cours in France.

The WSBK race series for 2024 promises to be a cracker. Bautista, Toprak, Rea, the Lowes brothers, Redding, Rinaldi and new boy Bulega are just some of the names after the 2024 title. Magny Cours is the 4th last race on the Calendar so I have no doubt, most will be in the title mix!

We’ll have plenty of riding to do before that though. We will leave on the overnight ferry to Caen from Portsmouth on the Tuesday night, grabbing a good nights sleep before arriving in Northern France early on Wednesday morning. We’ll take to the roads through Northern France and, as is usual with QMR, we will have multiple stops for photos, coffee and fuel stops before reaching our hotel for our first nights stay in Reims.

We’ll head South the next day, weaving through the French countryside en route to our accommodation, not far from the Nevers Circuit, Magny Cours. We have a full day of riding, taking in the stunning French countryside, small villages serving the best coffee and pastries and the opportunity to take plenty of photos! We’ll ride around 270 miles but always have alternatives and contingencies to make sure we all make the most of the Tour.

Once at our accommodation, we have our base for our race weekend. We suggest that we use the Friday to ride around and take in some more of those special roads and perhaps pop along to the track to catch up on free practice or just to get the feel of the place so we can all make the most of the Saturday and Sunday at the Circuit. We will have private track transfers to and from the circuit on both Saturday and Sunday with full hospitality in the Superbike Lounge for Sunday race day.

Monday is going home day but don’t worry, we’ll stop in Le Mans for an early lunch before catching our ferry back to Portsmouth late afternoon.
